The goal of this project was to create a different-looking typeface from an existing font and unusual materials. This typeface was created using the font Vollkorn and embroidery floss.once I decided on embroidery floss I was reminded by the ancient story of The Red String of Fate, which is a version of a type of story in most every mythology. The typeface is named Tangled Fate because, despite the story saying that the thread never tangles, it does flow and twist around people and objects connecting two together. The thread was placed down and a stencil was placed over, it was then photographed and then color corrected and turned into a bitmap. The red thread was laid down and photographed and turned into a bitmap as well.
I took a couple of words meaning "love" to make this animation. I inverted the colors to give it a different look.
